13U is designed for girls ages 11-13 and provides the introduction to the basics of fast pitch softball, including team defense, hitting, throwing and fielding in a fun and recreational setting. Games are 100% girl pitched and are the first introduction to the more competitive play found at the high school level.
*NOTE: 14 year-olds that are currently enrolled in the 9th grade for the 2024-2025 school year are allowed to play in the Fall 2024 season on a space available space only.
Equipment needed (Player Provided): Leather glove, grey softball pants, bat, helmet, black socks/belt and softball cleats.
Uniform Shirts and Visor are provided to each player.
Practices are held for about an hour and a half on a weeknight (TBD based on coach availability). Games are held on Saturdays for 2 hours at Rockburn Branch Park, and away games in Columbia, Laurel, and Western Howard County.
There will be 8 Saturday games scheduled during the season from Sept 7th - Oct 26th.
