Rookie League

The Rookie League is a machine pitch league for 7, 8, and some 9-year old players.  The primary goal of Rookie League baseball is to provide individualized instruction to our players, emphasizing the fundamentals of the game (hitting, throwing, catching, and running).  Additionally, this league represents the first level in the organization where the children are introduced to competitive baseball.

In the spring league, game scores count, standings are kept, and there are post-season playoffs.  Games are played on Monday evenings at 6 pm, and Saturday mornings, with a practice on either Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday.  Both games and practices are generally about 1.5 hours in duration.

In the fall, Rookie league baseball is played on Sundays.

If you have questions regarding the Rookie League, please contact the Rookie League Commissioner Herb Switzer at [email protected].
