The Novice league is for 5, 6, and some 7-year old players and is a transitional league from Tee Ball and preparation for the Rookie League. In addition to learning basic baseball fundamentals such as hitting, catching, fielding and throwing, players will have modified coach pitch games, begin to make "put-outs", and learn the "time-out" rule from the Rookie League.
In the Spring, practices and games are played on one weeknight and Saturday mornings at local Howard County Public School fields.
In the Fall, practices and games are played on Sundays at local Howard County Public School fields.
If additional information is needed or you have additional questions, please e-mail the Novice Commissioner Wynton Weather at [email protected].
